History

I am an alumnus of the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Journalism. While at UF, I was involved in an immersive experience through WRUF-ESPN Gainesville. Through this opportunity, I gained experience in several areas of Sports Journalism, including contributing written content, radio and television broadcasting, and production.
During this time, I provided sports articles for ESPN WRUF, wrote and voiced on-air radio segments on WRUF Radio, and worked on a team to produce “Sports in 60” video segments on WUFT-TV, wherein we alternated between on-camera and video editing roles. Previously, I served as a technical director for Gatorvision, covering University of Florida sports for their streaming online platform. I was also a member of the UF Club Baseball for all four years and served as the club’s Secretary for the 2021-22 season. In this role, I managed the club’s social media accounts, wrote announcements for the club, kept track of players’ stats and documents, and served as a team captain.
Furthering my education, in 2025, I completed a certificate in Data Science and Business Analytics from Kennesaw State University. The certificate taught me how to gather valuable data and how to draw key insights, as well as how to use SQL coding, data visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel and Tableau, and how to plan business analysis projects.
My most recent media experience is currently as a Sports Correspondent with the Marietta Daily Journal. The MDJ is the principle newspaper for Cobb County and the second largest paper in the metro Atlanta area. Since August of 2022, I have been covering high school sports in the Atlanta area, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse and volleyball, and tennis.
In 2023, I started a position with the Atlanta Braves organization as a Hawkeye Operator for their High-A Minor League affiliate in Rome. Hawkeye is software that utilizes eight cameras positioned around the stadium that capture gameplay and generate a 3D model of the field. Using this model, it can record data to generate metrics such as pitch speed, spin rate, exit velocity, launch angle, hit distance, and many more. The data is used by baseball operations for player evaluation and development. It was my responsibility to set up the software and ensure it was operating properly so it generated accurate data. While games were going on, I had to troubleshoot any problems that arose while simultaneously scoring the game on the computer.
I grew up in Marietta, Georgia, and am a third-generation alum from the University of Florida, and am very excited to further my career in the world of Sports Media.
